Bexhill Utd 1-2 Petersfield Town
Petersfield came from behind to beat Bexhilll United and solidify their play of charge.
A disastrous start saw them behind after four minutes due a defensive area, finished off by Evan Anderson. Goals from Brandon Miller and Harrison Cable turned the result around but a clearance of the line by Kieran Alcock in the last minute secured the points.
Like Linfield a fortnight ago, Harrison Hide was caught in a dangerous position after four minutes and was punished. The striker played the ball across to Anderson who finished emphatically into the top corner.
Cable almost equalised two minutes later as Kian Towse beat the winger and found Cable, who took a touch, firing across goal but the ball rebounded off the post.
Miller is slowly becoming a regular goal scorer and finished a well taken header after 14 minutes. A teasing delivery from Liam Kimber was met by Miller who beat the keeper to it, flicking the ball in off the underside of the bar.
The Rams completed the turn around after 43 minutes with Cable finishing off a nice spell of pressure. A good team move to work the ball into the box turned scrappy but Cable came off the right to calmly slot underneath the keeper.
Harvey Marstone headed wide at the near post early in the sending half to keep Petersfield honest.
Will Webb has a good game alongside Harrison Hide who recovered well but Asad Ssemwogerere could have wrapped up the points late on. Played through, a poor touch put him under pressure but still forced the keeper into a good stop.
Alcock became the hero in the last minute as Bexhill goalkeeper, Alex Hobden, came up for a corner and had a great header cleared off the line by Alcock’s outstretched boot.
