We had appealed this at a hearing held this week and although we believed that the appeal we put forward as a club to the FA was fair and explained, around our challenges over the increased travel time and what our foundations are based around, unfortunately, common sense appears not to have prevailed and we will now be travelling in the opposite direction to play our season in the County of Sussex.

Although we were told, ‘As a member of the National League System we should be aware of a move laterally across leagues could and can happen‘, it did come as a surprise for a Hampshire club that has played its football since 1993 in the Wessex and Hampshire leagues.

So, with the decision made, we would like to thank all of the Clubs and Officials in the Wessex League a fond farewell, who not least made last season so enjoyable with our attendances growing to be one of the biggest in the Premier Division. Hopefully we will be back sooner rather than later.

We will be thinking of you all in the Premier League on your trips to Wincanton, when we will be doing a similar trip, every other week.
